I recently purchased a 2013 Honda CB500X Adventure bike. I love the bike however now that I have it and want to purchase an engine bash plate to protect the bike I find that Honda does not have one available. The two after market plates I’ve found, SW-Motech and Motorrad, will not fit the bike with the Honda center stand without extensive modification. It makes no sense that Honda offers an Adventure bike but not a basic accessory to protect the under side of the engine from damage when using the bike off road. To have a seamless application of a bash plate I would have to throw away my Honda center stand and replace it with a SW-Motech center stand so their bash plate would fit without modification. Come on Honda don’t leave us hanging, please get your R&D department on this very needed accessory.

I have a 2004 Honda xr650l with under 4000 miles, I have 1 bad exhaust valve, a pitted cam and bent splines on the counter shaft. A horrible 2nd gear that thinks its a 3rd gear and close ratio 5th gear. I have had the bike for 11 years and will repair it and ride another 11 years, Guys I need some help and tender loving care from you.

    I have disassembled the entire engine and need Honda # 23421-MN9-010 $35.00 and #23491- MW2-780 $99.00 .

I do not understand why I cannot find the Honda parts I need,

I have a 2012 ST1300 had a local honda dealer install honda heated grips on the bike. Grips are 7/16″ of an inch shorter then the stock grips. Now there is almost a 1/2 ” gap between the bar weight and each grip. The dealer is telling me this is the way it is.

For $500.00 this is crap. Not Honda quality, not Honda service. I can not believe the whole incident. Asked for a manager same story – that is what you get – it is correct.

Sorry sir we ordered the correct part, we installed it correctly, you may not like it but that is the way it is. Pay up.

No one stopped the installation to inform me of what wa about to happen.

Dissatisfied enough to never buy another Honda product again nor recommend any of thee Honda product lines to any one who asks.

  6. MY wife and I purchased 2 new Goldwings and the dealer is now telling us, after we paid a deposit, that they cannot make delivery because Honda corporate has put a HOLD on the sale of all new bikes.

Is this correct? If so, can you tell me when we will be able to expect delivery on the new bikes.

We purchased the bikes at Honda of Russellville in Russellville, Arkansas

I would like to have some contact me and tell me if this is true or not and, if not, what my legal options are.

  7. I need someone from the corporate office to contact me as I have been told that the 2 Goldwings we purchased have been placed on hold because Honda corporate has a hold on all new sales.

I’m a longtime Goldwing rider . How ever I’m short my toes don’t work good anymore. had to give up my motor. now Harley has come up with a ultra limited low . Which has a seat height of 25.5 inches; Any chance of Honda doing the same with the Goldwing?

Spoke with one of your reps about a 98 Honda VT1100T fuel tank. He told me there were not any compatible tanks. How can a Honda rep not know that the tank was used on many ACE models? Very disappointed. I have owned Honda motorcycles since I’ve been 14 yrs old. I’m now 57. Have always loved my Hondas. This model is my dream bike but, it is hard finding body parts. I’ve found the paint but cannot find the pinstripe. I have the pearl jade green/pearl ivory cream. Keeping this bike totally stock, not going to pimp this one. Love this bike!!

I have also had many issues with your dealership service. They have caused undue amounts of shotty work on my bikes. Big River Honda Natchez Ms./ Honda powersports Slidell,La / Cycle Shack Picayune Ms. Slidell replaced a grip and did not put the nut back on. It fell off and was hanging by the cable while I was riding, good thing I’m a very experienced rider. Big River put a Kreem coat in the tank without prepping it. It peeled off and cost me a fortune to have carbs cleaned, fuel lines replaced, new fuel pump and filter. Needless to say I no longer take my bikes to any Honda dealership!
